DESCRIPTION


“The Reflection” is a film about self-acceptance. About taking the courage to be who you are meant to be.

 

SYNOPSIS


A Man, fascinated with a beautiful female nightclub singer, follows her one night to her dressing room where they share an intimate moment. Later he wakes up alone in the dressing room and fascinated by her clothes, he puts on her dress, shoes and make up. He suddenly feels comfortable and complete, and sheds a tear of happiness alone in the dark and empty nightclub.

 

PRODUCTION NOTES


The film was shot in Berlin, Germany in March 2017 at the bar/club Mein Haus Am See. This is Einat Dan’s first written script realised in collaboration with filmmakers Josh Brandão and Nicolai Kornum. The film was shot in chronological order, in order to achieve the physical and emotional changes required by Actor Andrea Piccirillio to transform his look from man to woman.
The song used as soundtrack in the film is performed by its main actress, Nina De Lianin.
The international cast & crew includes, amongst others, artists from Germany, Israel, England, Italy, Brazil & Denmark.
